34th Annual "Going To The Sun" Cross Country Invitational
Parents, Spectators, and Athletic Directors,
Thank you for coming out in support of your favorite Cross Country athlete attending Coginchaug's 33rd running of "Going to the Sun" Cross Country Meet. There are some very important things to know about this year's meet.
DATE/TIME: 09/21/2022

3:30pm - Girls JV Race start
- 4:00pm - Boys JV Race start
- 4:30pm - Girls Varsity Race start
- 5:00pm - Boys Varsity Race start
Please DO NOT arrive prior to 2:15pm. Both our high school and middle school share a campus and our buses will need to vacate the properties before allowing other buses onto our campus.
The main school entrance is Pickett Lane accessed off Main Street (Rt 17). Due to the Maiden Lane Road closure, the Pickett Lane entrance will be the ONLY entrance / exit for the meet.
Buses: Parking attendants will direct buses to the bus parking lot and will assist spectators to a safe parking area. Buses will proceed past the tennis courts to park on the gravel area on the right. You will be met by parking attendants.
Spectators: Please turn into Coginchaug Main entrance via Pickett Lane from Route 17. Parking attendants will direct spectators to the bus parking lot and will direct spectators to designated parking areas. Please drive carefully, as runners will be preparing for their races.
Departing: The main school road to Route 17/Main Street will be open to leave. We encourage you to leave after the conclusion of your runner.
The official start time for GJV is 3:30pm, but we will start sooner if all schools are present and ready to go.
- GJV 3:30pm (No later than...)
- BJV at 4:00pm
- GV at 4:30pm
- BV at 5:00pm
- Awards ASAP afterwards.
Please Note: Unfortunately, we will not be able to hold up race start times for competitors.
