CRHS 2020 Fall Sports - Shoreline Conference Spectator Policy
September 29, 2020
Good Evening Parents and Student Athletes,
The Shoreline Principals’ Association in accordance with the Shoreline Athletic Directors and Superintendents have approved the following spectator guidelines at our sporting events this fall in light of the current health situation that is impacting schools and activities. We will be allowing limited spectators at outdoor sporting events in a phased approach, to remain in line with the State of CT and their reopen plans. Live streaming will be done to the best of every district’s ability. Coginchaug Regional High School is continuing to make every effort to record games and provide families the ability to watch the game.
The Spectator policy is in effect for HOME team fans only. There are no visiting team fans permitted at CRHS and this is expected to take place at all other Shoreline Conference Schools. Please do not attempt to go to away events, as they will not permit you into their fields as a spectator.
Outdoor Activities (Soccer and Cross Country)
Phase 1: October 1 - October 7
Two (2) family members only of the home team SENIOR student athletes rostered for that game may attend events.
Family members must be pre-rostered, check in upon arrival, & have their pass in order to enter.
Masks must be worn by spectators at all times the proper way (nose and mouth covered).
Spectators are expected to maintain a safe distance of 6 feet or more from non-family members. In addition are expected to follow the spectator guidelines and exhibit good sportsmanship or risk their passes being revoked.
Week 2: October 8 - October 22nd
Two (2) family members only of home team ALL grades student athletes rostered for that game may attend events.
Same procedures apply as in Phase 1.
Indoor Activities (Volleyball)
At this time, no spectators will be permitted to attend competitions indoors.
We are doing our very best to permit the student athletes the ability to compete in contests that they have worked very hard to get to this point. We understand the disappointment this may bring to some, however the priority of the Shoreline Conference is to provide meaningful athletic experiences to our student athletes in the safest way possible.
