Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Coginchaug Regional High School’s website.  At Coginchaug, it is our goal to offer students a stimulating and rigorous learning experience in a safe, nurturing and supportive environment.  Through our partnership with parents and the community, we work hard to create an educational setting that challenges students intellectually while promoting the social, emotional and physical development of every child.

The staff at Coginchaug Regional High School is committed to helping our students prepare for post-high school success.  We continuously evaluate our programs, course of study offerings and co-curricular activities to improve our student experiences.  Additionally, we have infused the Common Core State Standards into our curriculums and examined our teaching and assessment practices to enhance our student learning and growth opportunities.

Please take the time to explore our website for information on upcoming school events and the daily life of students at Coginchaug.  If you have not done so already, I ask that you please obtain your information to utilize PowerSchool’s Parent-Portal.  The Parent-Portal provides you access to your child’s grades and keeps you informed of their academic progress.  Additionally, please make sure your email address has been updated with our main office.  This will assure that you will receive up to date information on our school and the various activities going on at Coginchaug through our Constant Contact Email System.

I look forward to seeing everyone at our school events throughout the year and wish all of our students a positive and successful high school experience.
